Just wait for more information, okay?
Anticipation of something can make you do strange things. First and foremost, it can make you “forget yourself” because you are “so focused” on what is coming and make you want it more than anything. Believe us, we’ve seen it before. Another thing it can do is make you worry about things that have not been confirmed, or have been widely rumored, because you “take them as facts” because the person behind them does not deny them. In the case of GTA 6One of the things that worries many people is the game map. Specifically, we know that Vice City will be the main hub and other parts of the state of Leonida will be accessible, but we don’t know how big the map will be compared to previous Rockstar Games titles.
Therefore, on places like Reddit, you may have seen “speculation” and even “fan construction projects” to try and deduce how big the map will be, and what it will look like based on the official trailers and artwork. However, over these projects, people are getting “agitated,” and one Redditor called it out:
“Why is there so much panic about the size of the map? In the trailer, it looks great.”
It’s true, footage doesn’t always “tell the truth,” but its meaning is well known. Fortunately, some people are able to provide rational reasons why people act this way:
“I think people (not me) are worried that this will be the only map they can use in the next 10-15 years, so they want it to be big.”
On some level, that doesn’t matter, because you want something “big and meaningful” if that’s the only thing you’re going to get for some time, even with the addition of an online mode coming later. Some people take a more…straightforward approach by calling out to others:
“Because this subreddit is full of kids.”
…Well, it’s not that it’s inaccurate… Others argue that the problem isn’t the map itself, but what’s inside it:
“The size of the map doesn’t bother me, it’s what’s inside that I want to see.”
That’s very fair, because we’ve all seen game maps that look huge, but when you dive “into the weeds” they’re kind of barren, and there’s not much to do. GTA 6 has a lot of hype around it, and Rockstar Games needs to make sure that as you explore Vice City and the surrounding area, people will want to take part in everything it has to offer.
